The BMW M5 G90 is the 2024 generation of the M5, a premium sports sedan now available as a plug-in hybrid, combining a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor. The system delivers approximately 727 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of around 3.5 seconds.

The battery (approximately 18–22 kWh depending on the source and homologation) provides around 60 km of WLTP electric range and helps lower official CO₂ emissions to around 37 g/km. Longer and heavier than the F90 generation, this M5 G90 aims for a balance between very high performance, large sedan comfort, and partial electric driving, while retaining the signature M design elements (widened fenders, larger brakes, adaptive chassis, and wider tires).
