The Porsche 911 GT3 R Type 992 #77, entered in the 2024 IMSA Road America series, is a modern GT race car, derived from the road-going 911 but entirely optimized for endurance racing. It embodies the new generation of 911 race cars, with a finely tuned chassis, advanced aerodynamics, and reliability designed for long distances.
Under the rear hood lies a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine (an evolution of the 4.0L), paired with a racing sequential gearbox, delivering power tailored to GT3 regulations while offering a broad power band, immediate response, and the signature Porsche sound. The rear-wheel drive and specific suspension settings ensure ultra-precise handling and excellent traction on a fast and demanding track like Road America.
The Type 992 bodywork is distinguished by widened fenders, a massive rear wing, a sculpted diffuser, and a complete aerodynamic package, all optimized to generate significant downforce at high speeds. The #77 IMSA Road America 2024 livery features team numbers, sponsors, and color schemes, reinforcing its identity as a true racing machine.
