Benjamin Freudenthal is drawing since his childhood. Fascinated by the magic of aviation scenes depicted on his childhood model boxes, his heart is between airplanes and cars. He explains that in a successful painting, the landscape is more important than the subject : "If you can feel the air temperature, the time of day (to the hour), and the speed of a car, then you are in the presence of a high-quality painting. The originality of the composition is also a determining factor to the final success".

This is a fictive composition. In 1950, Gina lollobridgida, muse of the Italian cinema of the fifties suddenly appeared with her Vespa scooter in the middle of the Monza Grand Prix paddocks. beside her actress's talent she was famous for her advantageous breasts and it's not Louis Rosier, Juan Manuel Fangio, Alberto Ascari or Nino Farina who would disagree ! This painting is also an anthology showing the great pilots of the fifties (you can spot also philippe Etancelin, Raymond Sommer, Louis Chiron, Enzo Ferrari) and also a tribute to their magnificient race cars. You'll understand that I have a special feeling for the Talbot T26 !
