Real Models – Ferrari 12Cilindri Coupe 2024 and Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona n° 39 24h Le Mans 1972
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is the naturally aspirated V12 coupe unveiled in 2024, designed as the spiritual successor to Maranello's great front-engined GTs and directly inspired aesthetically by the 365 GTB/4 "Daytona." It features a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine delivering 830 hp to the rear wheels, with styling that modernizes the Daytona's design cues (long hood, sloping rear, taut lines) while adapting them to current aerodynamic requirements.
The 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione entered by the French importer Charles Pozzi bore the number 39 at the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans and distinguished itself by finishing 5th overall and winning its GT category, with Jean-Claude Andruet and Claude Ballot-Léna at the wheel. This competition version, derived from the road-going GT, received specific modifications (weight reduction, bodywork adapted to regulations, engine boosted to approximately 430 hp) and established itself as a benchmark for Ferrari GT endurance racing in the early 1970s.
Miniature – Ferrari 12Cilindri Coupe n° 39 Tribute 24h Le Mans 1972 Blue / White / Red 1/43 BBR Models (BBRC299LM)
This 1/43 scale BBR miniature represents the Ferrari 12Cilindri in a livery paying homage to the No. 39 365 GTB/4 Daytona of the Charles Pozzi team, which competed in the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans. The specific details include colors, numbers, and markings inspired by the historic race car. The model is made of resin, without opening parts, and features a high level of detail on the bodywork, wheels, logos, and livery elements, in keeping with BBR's productions designed for display rather than handling.
This 12Cilindri "Tribute" is offered in a high-end presentation box with a base and display case. It is a particularly fitting piece for a collection focused on front-engined Ferrari V12s, Le Mans tributes, and the history of the Charles Pozzi team/importer.
