For the first time in decades, the 911 Carrera is experiencing a revolution by changing its atmospheric block for a flat 6 turbo 3 litter. Until then, only the 911 Turbo and GT2 had the turbo exclusivity.

The transition, which Porsche says it does not change the sound so typical of 6-cylinder boxer, allows new 911 Carrera and Carrera S to gain 20 hp and 60 Nm for a respective total of 370 hp and 450 Nm and 420 hp and 500 Nm. If torque is available from 1700 rev / min (up to 5000 rev / min!), however the breaker now set at 7500 rev / min. Add to this rising power chassis to 4 optional steering wheels, a reworked PDK 7 and adaptive suspensions (PASM) and you get a time of 7 minutes and 30 seconds on the Nürburgring, 10 seconds better than the previous version. The new 991 Carrera and Carrera S reach respectively 0 to 100 km in 4.2 and 3.9 seconds and 295 and 308 km / h top speed.

Regarding the aesthetic evolution: daytime 4 points lights inspired by the victorious 919 at Le Mans this summer, new larger air intakes, new wheel rims, a rear cover with a reworked grille with vertical slats, 3D lights, and central exhaust in case of presence of the "sport exhaust option".

Good news for colour fans with a few new colours for the 991 Carrera:

- Sapphire blue metallic (991 Targa presentation colour)

- Lava Orange (991 GT3 RS presentation colour)

- Miami blue

- Carmine Red (991 GTS presentation colour).

Models are for first time produces by Herpa 1/43. The finish is similar to Minichamps. Note that the 991 Carrera is 

presented in a grey tinted blue named Graphite blue Metallic.
