The Mercedes-Benz SSK, produced between 1928 and 1932, is one of the most emblematic sports cars in automotive history. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, this car was the most powerful of the S series, with its 7-liter supercharged engine developing up to 300 hp. The SSK, short for “Super Sport Kurz” (Super Sport Court), was distinguished by its shortened chassis, offering better handling. It dominated racing at the time, taking numerous victories and becoming a symbol of German performance and engineering. This Mercedes SSK, of which only 36 were built at the time, is today the second most expensive car in the world.
