The Porsche 911 "Project Gold" is a one-of-a-kind model. Created in 2018 by the Porsche Classic department to celebrate Porsche's 70th anniversary, it is nothing less than the last air-cooled 911 Turbo ever built. Based on an authentic 993 generation Porsche 911 Turbo chassis, the car is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-6 that has been built entirely from new genuine parts. Fitted with a six-speed gearbox, it delivers 450 hp at 6,000 rpm, 42 hp more than the standard 993 Turbo. The body is original new from the Zuffenhausen factory with a Golden Yellow Metallic finish, applied in three stages with two coats of clear lacquer. The interior features black leathers, gold stitching and carbon fiber trim. A true authentic model that guarantees the legacy of the 993 Turbo, the car was sold by RM Sotheby's for more than 2.7 million euros, benefiting the Ferry Porsche Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated education, social issues and youth development.
