The Boxster Spyder 981 (2015–2016) is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-6 engine developing 375 hp and 420 Nm, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
Weighing in at around 1,390 kg, with a chassis lowered by 20 mm, brakes from the 911 Carrera, more direct steering and a limited-slip differential, this model offers exceptional dynamic performance.
Acoustically, the Spyder 981 stands out with its throaty, piercing and very expressive sound: some enthusiasts compare its sound to that of a 911 GT3, placing it among the most ‘present’ Boxsters to the ear.
The Boxster Spyder is a favourite among purists, a concentrate of performance and sonic character.
