Under the glance of Steve McQueen riding his legendary Triumph, the two young lovers - James Dean and Ursula Andress, are preparing to drive to Salinas, on September 29, 1955. At the last moment, under the influence of anger following a quarrel of lovers, James Dean decides to leave without his girlfriend. One will never know if the future James Bond girl and the actor of Rebel Without a Cause could have reconciled, because the iconic star's life will end tragically a few hours later, at a crossroad of Highway 466.

Benjamin Freudenthal is drawing since his childhood. Fascinated by the magic of aviation scenes depicted on his childhood model boxes, his heart is between airplanes and cars. He explains that in a successful painting, the landscape is more important than the subject : "If you can feel the air temperature, the time of day (to the hour), and the speed of a car, then you are in the presence of a high-quality painting. The originality of the composition is also a determining factor to the final success".
