The legendary AC Cobra is one of the world's most iconic sports cars. Derived from the AC Ace, the brutal Cobra is the result of Caroll Shelby's dream to combine the qualities of a British chassis with the power of an American V8. It was produced by Shelby in two versions, road and competition.

Both models are studied in this manual with a special focus on the competition.     From 1962 to 1967 the Cobra raced on the international scene and fought intense battles, especially against the Ferraris. The Cobra Daytona Coupe won the 1965 GT World Championship over Ferrari. More than fifty years after its debut, this often copied car is revered around the world and the original models have become highly prized.

This book offers a fascinating insight into what makes the AC Cobra one of the most desirable and prestigious sports cars to date. All richly illustrated with period and current photos as well as comprehensive tables detailing the various designations, chassis number sequences and production figures.
