Real Model – MGA MK2 A1600 Convertible 1961
The MGA 1600 Mk II retains the ultra-low, flowing silhouette of the early MGAs, but gains a redesigned grille and horizontal taillights, with a 4-cylinder engine enlarged to 1622 cc, producing around 90 hp and a top speed of over 100 mph. Finished in Old English White with a dark red interior, the car takes on the look of a very chic little English speedster, a perfect blend of simplicity and the elegance of a miniature Jaguar/E-Type.

The 1/18 scale model from Triple 9 is an open roadster with a white body, chrome wire wheels, and a burgundy interior. The folded soft top clearly reveals the taut beltline. In the display case, the white exterior/red interior contrast and the wire wheels give a very elegant presence, perfect for a "small British collector's" display alongside a Triumph TR3/TR4 or Austin-Healey.
