Real Model – BMW M3 E30 n° 35 – 24h Nürburgring 1989

The BMW M3 E30 was the first M3 model; developed for Group A homologation, it competed successfully in the DTM, WTCC, and major endurance races during the late 1980s. Its high-revving, naturally aspirated 2.3-liter (later 2.5-liter in some versions) 4-cylinder engine, widened bodywork, and finely tuned chassis established it as a benchmark among racing sports sedans. At the 1989 Nürburgring 24 Hours, the BMW M Team Schnitzer fielded the No. 35 M3 E30 and won the event with drivers Pirro, Ravaglia, and Giroix, marking the M3's first overall victory on the Nordschleife in this race. The car completed 143 laps and finished ahead of another BMW M3 E30, securing a one-two finish for BMW and launching a string of repeated successes for the M3 E30 at the Nürburgring between 1989 and 1992.

Miniature – BMW M3 E30 n° 35 Winner 24h Nürburgring 1989 1/18 Werk83 (W18038007C)

The Werk83 1:18 scale model of the No. 35 BMW M3 E30 captures the compact silhouette of the 3 Series E30—featuring widened fenders, specific bumpers, and the M rear spoiler—in a race-ready configuration with the BMW Motorsport livery. The bodywork features the blue/purple/red stripes, race number 35, and sponsor logos, faithfully replicating the design used by Schnitzer on the 1989 winning car. The racing wheels, slick tires, headlights, roll cage visible through the windows, and interior details are finely reproduced, giving this miniature model a commanding presence.
