The Story – Jim Clark

Jim Clark is often considered one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. Born in 1936 in Scotland, he spent his entire F1 career with Lotus, winning two World Championship titles in 1963 and 1965, as well as 25 Grand Prix victories in just 72 starts. A driver of exceptional skill, both fast and with remarkable fluidity of driving, he also distinguished himself by winning the Indianapolis 500 in 1965, a major achievement for a European at the time. Tragically killed in 1968 during a Formula 2 race, Jim Clark leaves behind the image of a humble, discreet champion of pure talent, who forever marked the DNA of Formula 1 and Lotus.

As Warson Motors sponsored the historic hill climb, this polo shirt was initially reserved for the event's drivers before a very small surplus was offered for sale, making it a distinctly "paddock" item and quite rare.

The 1965 Ollon-Villars Polo Shirt is a men's polo shirt in piqué cotton, in a green reminiscent of British Racing Green. The embroidery and markings reference Jim Clark, the Ollon-Villars race, and his Lotus, giving it a very vintage hillclimb look. It's dressier than the T-shirt of the same theme, yet still suitable for casual wear with jeans or chinos.
