Real Model – Datsun 510 Wagon Koi Wagon V1 1969

The 1969 Datsun 510 Wagon is the estate version of the Datsun 510, marketed in Japan as the Nissan Bluebird. Its simple design, light weight, rear-wheel-drive layout, and robust mechanics made it a favorite platform for Japanese and American tuning projects, ranging from rally racing and "stance" builds to restomods.

In its North American configuration, it is powered by a 1,595 cc L16 inline-four engine featuring an overhead camshaft and a Hitachi carburetor, producing 96 hp. This engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. While the 510 sedans feature independent rear suspension, the wagon retains a solid rear axle with leaf springs, better suited to its utility-oriented purpose.
