The great Michel Sardou, a man of a thousand faces, a multifaceted artist, once again surprised his many fans by participating in the legendary Paris-Dakar rally, a test of strength and endurance that puts men and machines to the test.

In 1984 and 1985, he took his place alongside Jean-Pierre Jabouille, a talented Formula 1 driver who has experienced it all, in a Lada Niva, a robust and rustic car capable of withstanding the onslaughts of the desert and fatigue. But alas, the crew never had the chance to finish the race, each time the victim of a mechanical incident that put an end to their dreams of victory.

But no matter, because the participation of Michel Sardou and Jean-Pierre Jabouille added a touch of celebrity to the event, and their presence captivated the attention of the public. And who can forget the Lada Niva, that iconic little Soviet car from the 80s, which proved to be a surprise in the desert by holding its own against the big-engined rally-raids.
