The Ferrari 312 T4 was the single-seater entered by Scuderia Ferrari in the 1979 Formula One World Championship. Equipped with a 3.0-liter flat-12 engine producing approximately 515 hp and a ground-effect chassis adapted to the new aerodynamic regulations, it made its Grand Prix debut at Kyalami, where Gilles Villeneuve won the 1979 South African Grand Prix. Villeneuve went on to achieve further successes that same season, while his teammate Jody Scheckter secured the Drivers' title and Ferrari the Constructors' title, making the 312 T4 one of the iconic F1 cars of the Villeneuve era.
