Real Model – Genesis GMR-001 n° 17 – FIA WEC Season 2026
The GMR-001 is a closed-cockpit Hypercar-class prototype, homologated under LMDh regulations. It features a carbon-fiber chassis, a Genesis G8MR 3.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, a standardized hybrid system, and a seven-speed sequential paddle-shift gearbox. Maximum power is capped by Hypercar regulations at approximately 680 hp, and the minimum weight is 1,030 kg.
Genesis Magma Racing launched its global endurance program in 2026 with two cars: No. 17 and No. 19. Car No. 17 pairs the experience of André Lotterer—a three-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner—and Pipo Derani with Mathys Jaubert, a graduate of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Program.
2026 Results :
In only its second race, car No. 17 scored Genesis’s first WEC points by finishing 8th at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Pipo Derani crossed the finish line after a final hour hampered by power and energy management issues.
Its best result of the season as of September 2026 was a 7th-place finish at Lone Star Le Mans (Circuit of the Americas) on September 6, 2026. Despite an incident and a penalty early in the race, the Derani–Jaubert–Lotterer driver lineup fought their way back into the top 10 and finished on the same lap as the leaders.
Miniature – Genesis GMR-001 n° 17 FIA WEC Season 2026 1/43 Spark (SP838)
This 1/43 scale Spark model (reference SP838) replicates the Genesis Magma Racing GMR-001 No. 17 entered in the 2026 FIA WEC. It represents Genesis's first Hypercar and the car driven by André Lotterer, Luis "Pipo" Derani, and Mathys Jaubert.
The No. 17 features the Genesis program's grey livery with "Magma" orange accents, incorporating graphic patterns inspired by Korean culture, a signature two-line light design, and deeply sculpted flanks. Crafted from sealed-body resin, this model is ideal for display alongside other WEC models from the brand.
