In the 50s, Alberto Ascari was, along with Fangio, the greatest Formula 1 champion. Very superstitious, he folded and unfolded his clothes according to an extremely precise ritual and always wore the same blue helmet. He only forgot it for an ordinary test lap on the Monza circuit. That day, he lost control of his Ferrari and was killed on 26 May 1955... at the age of 37, just like his father.... You can see him here during a test session in his Lancia D50.
