Real Model – Maserati MC12 GT1 n° 33 – World Championship FIA GT1 2010

The Maserati MC12 GT1 was developed from the road-going MC12 to bring Maserati back to the pinnacle of GT racing. Homologated for FIA GT competition in 2004, it features a carbon-fiber and Nomex honeycomb composite monocoque chassis, complemented by aluminum subframes. Its naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine—mid-rear mounted and derived from the Ferrari Enzo’s powerplant—drives the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.

In GT1 configuration, it produces approximately 580 hp and weighs around 1,100 kg (in accordance with regulations); it is distinguished by its massive rear wing, long wheelbase, and highly refined aerodynamics.

The MC12 GT1 stands as a benchmark of the FIA GT era, securing numerous titles and endurance race victories, most notably with Vitaphone Racing.

In 2010, the No. 33 MC12 GT1 was entered by Triple H Team Hegersport in the FIA GT1 World Championship. It was initially driven by Altfrid Heger and Alexandros Margaritis, before Alex Müller joined Heger mid-season; Bert Longin also competed in one round.

With Heger and Müller at the wheel, the No. 33 car notably secured a second-place finish at Zolder after starting from 12th on the grid. The black-and-white Hegersport livery highlights the dramatic presence of this GT1—one of the last great race cars powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine.

This 1/18 scale GL Model replica reproduces the Triple H Team Hegersport Maserati MC12 GT1 (No. 33) that competed in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship, driven by Altfrid Heger and Alex Müller. It features the German team's black-and-white livery, race number 33, partner logos, and the MC12 GT1's extreme aerodynamic elements: a long, vented nose, hood and side air intakes, sculpted wheel arches, a rear diffuser, and a massive rear wing.

At 1/18 scale, the model highlights the Maserati's extraordinary proportions and its center-lock racing wheels. Crafted from resin, this premium model comes with a display case, making it an ideal addition to any collection dedicated to the world of Italian racing.
