The 1984 Peugeot 205 T16 Series 200 Winchester is the road-legal version derived from the legendary Group B rally car. Only 200 were produced, featuring a 1.8-litre (1775 cc) turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mounted in a rear mid-engine position, developing 200 hp and 255 Nm of torque, transmitted to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Thanks to its low weight of around 1,145 kg, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h — remarkable figures for a car approved for road use in 1984. Only 200 examples of this version, known as the ‘Winchester Grey’, were produced, and it served as the homologation model for the formidable 205 T16 Group B, world rally champion in 1985 and 1986.
A true French icon, it symbolises Peugeot's technological audacity and expertise at the height of the rally era.
