Real-life Model – Porsche 550 No. 38 Le Mans 1955
The Porsche 550 No. 38 was entered in the 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans by the Jeudy-Bonnet team for the Swiss driver pairing of Walter Ringgenberg and Hans Gilomen, in the 1.5-liter class. Like other 550s of that era, it embodied Porsche's strategy of small, lightweight, and durable sports cars, but had to retire before the finish due to a mechanical problem.
