Also entered by the works team in the 1956 12 Hours of Sebring, the No. 42 Porsche 550 Spyder featured a trio of exceptional drivers: the American Ed Crawford, teamed with German legends Herbert Linge and Huschke von Hanstein. Powered by a 1.5-litre engine with four overhead camshafts, the Stuttgart roadster demonstrated its full dynamic potential on the demanding Florida circuit.
