At the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Porsche 911S No. 39 entered by A.G.A.C.I. was entrusted to the French crew Guy Verrier and Gérard Foucault. In the highly competitive GT +2.0 category, the small 2.2-liter 911S finished in a commendable 11th place overall and 5th in its class, after completing 290 laps on the Circuit de la Sarthe in an edition dominated by the 917 and 512 prototypes.
