The 1973 Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 is the radicalized racing version of the Carrera RS 2.7, developed to dominate the Group 4 endurance racing category with its ultra-wide fenders, its 2.8-liter flat-six engine, and its famous "ducktail" rear wing. Produced in only a few dozen examples for private customers and factory teams, the 2.8 RSR distinguished itself from 1973 onwards with major victories at Daytona, Sebring, and Le Mans in its class and in the European GT Championship, becoming one of the most legendary racing 911s.
