The No. 79 Porsche 911 RSR-19 from the American WeatherTech Racing team lined up on the starting grid for the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans in the highly competitive LMGTE Pro class. Driven by a top-class crew pairing Cooper MacNeil with works drivers Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor, this ultimate version of the 911 race car, famous for the shrill roar of its mid-rear-mounted 4.2-litre flat-six engine, made its mark on the race with a solid pace before unfortunately being forced to retire following a crash.
Available in 1/18 scale from Ixo (ref. LEGT18-23017), this replica beautifully captures the aggressive stance and wide profile of the Stuttgart track car. The superb white, red and black livery of the American team is applied with surgical precision, perfectly highlighting the huge rear diffuser and the imposing swan-neck wing specific to this generation of RSR.
