Paolo Barilla, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1985 driving the Joest Porsche 956 No. 7, is the very first customer to carry out a co-Creation project with Porsche as part of the new Porsche Sonderwunsch program. A new interpretation of the legendary program from the late 70s, Sonderwunsch allows Porsche customers to design individualized and unique cars, professionally produced by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur or Porsche Classic, depending on the age of the vehicle.

Paolo Barilla's Porsche 911 GT3 is a Factory One-Off model that takes up the aesthetic codes of the 956 winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car features a distinctive yellow, white and black racing livery, as well as the winning racing number 7. The design of the center-lock rims is inspired by the rims of the Porsche 956, with white & gold wheels. The rear spoiler is specifically developed by Porsche engineers and maintains the car's aerodynamic performance and balance, while evoking the racing one of the 956. The interior is mostly black with yellow accents, specially designed logos and a gear lever custom made to look like the 956's.

For the design of the 911 of his dreams, the former Formula 1 and endurance driver, now an influential businessman, became an official member of the Porsche factory for a time - identity badge as a proof. He successively took on the roles of prime contractor, consultant and even technician when he himself attached the gearbox to the engine. As planned when the project started, he was able to take possession of his 911 / 956 at the Zuffenhausen factory in the year of his 60th birthday. The Porsche 956 is an iconic motorsport model, both in terms of performance and beauty. Its interpretation in a modern 911 GT3 illustrates the almost vital importance that automotive passion and racing memories can have in a man's life.
