Real Model – Porsche 911 RWB Type 993 Son Goku 2024
The Porsche 911 RWB "Son Goku" is a unique creation by RAUH-Welt Begriff (RWB), the Japanese tuning house founded by Akira Nakai. It is based on a Porsche 911 Type 993 with an air-cooled flat-six engine, heavily modified in the signature RWB style: ultra-wide bodywork, extremely low ride height, riveted fenders, imposing aerodynamic elements, and large, deep-dish wheels. RWB does not mass-produce identical cars; Nakai executes each project individually and typically gives each car its own unique name.
"Son Goku" is the name Nakai gave to the project commissioned by American collector Joe Aime, an enthusiast of Japanese culture and the *Dragon Ball* universe. The name refers to the series' protagonist, a symbol of determination and perseverance. Built in July 2024 for RWB New Jersey, the car notably appeared at the 2024 SEMA Show.
Its matte metallic purple finish—described as "Viola Purple Metallic"—features a satin paint protection film. The rear wing and canards are wrapped in a black film with a damask pattern. The build includes fender flares, a front bumper, side skirts, diffusers, wide wheels, and a fixed rear wing, giving this 993 the appearance of a GT-style race car.
Miniature – Porsche 911 RWB Type 993 Son Goku 2024 Purple 1/18 GT Spirit (GT571)
This 1/18 scale GT Spirit model replicates the 2024 Porsche 911 Type 993 RWB "Son Goku" in purple. Bearing reference number GT571, it is crafted from resin and offered as a limited edition, mounted on a display base. This is a static, closed-body miniature model; neither the doors nor the hoods open. It highlights the signature RWB modifications: large riveted fenders, very low bumpers, front canards, sculpted side skirts, deep-dish wheels, a lowered stance, and a large black rear wing.
This scale model is particularly well-suited for a collection of modified Porsche 911s, RWB creations, or models related to Japanese car culture.
