The 997.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS, sold between 2009 and 2011, represented the sharpest road-legal version of the naturally aspirated 911 lineup at the time. Its 3.8-liter Mezger-type flat-six engine produces 450 hp at 7,900 rpm, delivering power exclusively to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Lightweight thanks to extensive use of composite materials, and featuring a widened track, a massive adjustable rear wing, and 325 mm rear tires, it reaches a top speed of 310 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately four seconds. With 1,619 units produced, this GT3 RS is regarded today as the last RS model in Porsche history to feature both a Mezger engine and a manual transmission.
