The No. 21 Ferrari 250 LM entered by the North American Racing Team (NART) secured a historic victory at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans. Against all odds, up against the works prototypes and the formidable Fords, the duo of Austrian Jochen Rindt and American Masten Gregory (secretly supported during the night by Ed Hugus) drove this mid-rear-engined GT and its magnificent 3.3-litre V12 to an unexpected triumph, marking Ferrari’s last overall victory before its grand return in 2023.
Available in 1/43 scale from Ixo (ref. LM1965), this splendid replica faithfully recreates the timeless curves of this Maranello masterpiece. It features the famous red racing livery bearing the number 21, faithfully reproducing the period-style spoked wheels, the slender front grille, the side cooling vents and the blue and white longitudinal stripes specific to Luigi Chinetti’s American team.
