The factory-built Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa No. 14 became legendary by winning the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans in appalling weather conditions. Masterfully driven by the American Phil Hill and the Belgian maestro Olivier Gendebien, this aerodynamic marvel, powered by the legendary 3.0-litre ‘Colombo’ V12 engine with its red-painted valve covers, dominated the race, securing one of the Prancing Horse’s most memorable victories at La Sarthe.
Produced in 1/43 scale by Ixo (ref. LM1958), this exquisitely detailed replica perfectly captures the spectacular curves of the “Pontoon Fender” bodywork designed by Scaglietti, with its front wings superbly raised from the bonnet. The famous red racing livery, the streamlined wind deflector, the detailed open cockpit and the magnificent period-style spoked wheels are rendered with striking realism.
