During the legendary 1973 Targa Florio, the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR No. 9, driven by the legendary duo Leo Kinnunen and Claude Haldi, made a lasting impression by clinching an impressive third place overall. This car was a radical evolution (3.0L engine) recognisable by its ultra-wide wings and ‘ducktail’ spoiler, tackling the winding and treacherous roads of Sicily with formidable agility.

This shoe is a true tribute to the technical details of the car: the number 9 is embroidered on the heel and the reference ‘73’ for the year of the victory. The most striking link is the touch of green on the laces and tongue, a direct reference to the specific decoration of the era, when the front of the RSR No. 9 featured a wide green stripe to differentiate it from its teammates. Wearing these shoes is literally walking in the footsteps of a motorsport icon who conquered one of the most difficult races in history.
