The Subaru Impreza S9 WRC #7, entered in the 2003 Monte Carlo Rally, is a classic WRC World Rally Car, derived from the legendary Impreza and developed by the Subaru World Rally Team to tackle the championship's challenging mixed-surface stages. At Monte Carlo, it had to contend with dry asphalt, snow, ice, and rain – the ideal playground for a rally 4x4.

Under the hood, it features the classic 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine, paired with a sequential gearbox and active all-wheel drive with electronically controlled differentials. This package delivers significant torque, powerful acceleration, and exceptional traction, essential on the narrow and undulating roads of Monte Carlo.

The chassis has undergone a complete overhaul: long-travel suspension, racing brakes, specific asphalt/snow geometry, and optimized aerodynamics (rear wing, streamlined bumpers, air intakes) to ensure stability and precision. The cockpit is entirely competition-oriented: FIA bucket seats, harnesses, roll cage, central console for the co-driver and rally instrumentation, designed for efficiency on special stages.
