Entered in the Hypercar category, the Toyota GR010 Hybrid #8 of Toyota Gazoo Racing competed in the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans with the trio of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa, a team already crowned WEC champions and Le Mans winners in the past. Developed for the LMH category with a twin-turbo V6 and front-mounted hybrid system, the GR010 was entering its fifth season of competition. Despite good top speed and a few stints at the front, the #8 car saw its podium hopes dashed by a mechanical issue and ultimately had to settle for a lower-placed finish.
