Real Model – Ferrari F300 n° 3 – Belgian GP 1998
The Ferrari F300 was the single-seater entered by Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1 for the 1998 season, driven by Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. Designed by Rory Byrne, it complied with the new narrow-track regulations and featured a 3.0-liter Tipo 047 V10 engine producing approximately 800 hp, coupled with a 7-speed sequential gearbox and completely revised aerodynamics to compete against Mika Häkkinen's McLaren MP4-13.
The F300 allowed Ferrari to challenge for the title until the final race at Suzuka: Schumacher won six Grands Prix (Argentina, Canada, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy) and finished as runner-up in the World Championship, while Ferrari finished second in the Constructors' Championship with 133 points. At the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix, on a rain-soaked track, Schumacher climbed to the lead before hitting David Coulthard's McLaren from behind; he then brought his F300 back to the pits with its right front wheel and rear wing torn off, an image that has become famous.

The Werk83 1/18 scale miniature reproduces the #3 F300 in this spectacular "3-wheel" configuration, missing the right front wheel and front wing, while the rest of the car retains its sleek, late 1990s F1 silhouette. The bright red chassis features the slim, plunging nose, sculpted sidepods, endplates, and high rear wing, with the Ferrari, Marlboro (or equivalent), Shell, and other partner logos accurately printed on the model.
The two remaining wheels, on the front and left rear, fitted with rain tires, accentuate the visual imbalance, faithful to the photos taken after the Spa crash. The cockpit reveals Schumacher's helmet, steering wheel and harness, while the torn-off elements (right front suspension mounting area, nose) are treated to evoke the state of the car when it returned to the pits.
